Welcome to We Are Standly

We Are Standly (“Standly”) is a parent navigation tool designed to help parents and carers find and understand trusted information about bullying and harmful behaviour affecting children.

By using Standly, you agree to these Terms of Use.

1. What Standly does

Standly helps parents and carers navigate information from trusted sources, including government agencies, education bodies and established support organisations.

Standly helps users:

• understand information that may be relevant to their situation
• find original sources
• better understand available information and pathways

Standly provides navigation help. It does not provide personalised recommendations about what action you should take.

2. Standly does not make decisions for you

Standly does not:

• determine whether bullying has occurred
• assess whether a school or organisation has responded appropriately
• decide whether you should contact, escalate to or complain about a particular organisation
• replace the judgement of parents, educators, professionals or support services

Every family and situation is different. Decisions about what to do next remain with you.

3. Check the original source

Standly aims to make trusted information easier to find and understand.

Where possible, Standly identifies and links to the original source of information.

Policies, procedures and guidance from third party organisations may change over time. You should check the original source before relying on information presented through Standly.

If information on Standly differs from information provided by the original source, the original source should be treated as authoritative.

4. Not professional advice

Standly does not provide:

• medical advice
• psychological advice
• counselling advice
• legal advice
• emergency advice

If there is an immediate risk of harm, contact appropriate emergency or urgent support services.

5. Third party information and services

Standly includes information from third party organisations.

Those organisations are responsible for their own information, services and privacy practices.

A link or reference to another organisation does not mean Standly is affiliated with or endorsing that organisation unless we clearly state otherwise.

6. Accuracy and availability

We take reasonable care when selecting and presenting information through Standly.

However, we cannot guarantee that information will always be complete, current or suitable for every situation.

Standly may update, change or remove content as the service develops.

7. Using Standly

You agree to use Standly only for lawful purposes.

You must not attempt to interfere with the operation or security of Standly or misuse the service.

8. Intellectual property

Standly’s branding, design, original content and Navigator materials are owned by We Are Standly unless otherwise stated.

Information belonging to government agencies, organisations and other third parties remains owned by those organisations.

You may use Standly for personal, non-commercial purposes.

9. Feedback

If you provide feedback about Standly, you allow us to use that feedback to improve the service.

We will not publicly identify you or your child without your permission.

10. Privacy

Your use of Standly is also subject to our Privacy Policy.

11. Responsibility and liability

You remain responsible for decisions you make after using Standly.

To the extent permitted by law, Standly is not responsible for decisions made solely based on information presented through Standly without checking the relevant original source.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Standly develops.

The latest version will always be available on the Standly website.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
